In September 2025, VP Foam Spray completed a spray foam insulation project for Blue Self Storage, focusing on eliminating condensation inside their steel shipping container storage units.

Shipping containers used for self-storage are particularly prone to condensation due to temperature differences between the steel roof and the internal air. Moisture forms on the underside of the container roof and can drip onto stored items, creating serious issues for storage operators.

To solve this, our team applied a layer of closed-cell spray foam insulation directly to the interior roof surface of the containers. This creates a thermal barrier that prevents warm air inside the container from contacting the cold steel surface.
