In November 2025, VP Foam Spray carried out a spray foam insulation project for Manchester Self Storage, focusing on preventing condensation within their container storage units.

Steel containers are widely used in the self-storage industry, but without insulation they are vulnerable to moisture build-up. Temperature changes cause condensation to form on the interior surfaces of the container, particularly the roof.

Our solution involved applying closed-cell spray foam insulation directly to the underside of the container roofs. This creates a continuous insulation layer that prevents condensation forming on the steel surface.

The insulation significantly improves internal storage conditions by reducing condensation and protecting stored belongings from moisture.
